THAMIZHAR NATPU KAZHAGAM, MUMBAI, was formed in 1999 to address the issues of Tamils living in Mumbai slums. M.khathiravan who is the founder president of the organization, Since, majority of the tamils are migrants, among the local population, they have been neglected and facing discrimination.
Through the organization we have been addressing the issues concerning to the slum dwellers, such as insufficient drinking clean water, quality education and other basic amenities. We have been actively participating and mobilizing people to voice against the nuclear power plants and also against the “Genocide of Tamils in Eelam”. & protect and save tamizh language
For the last 5 years we have been organizing programmes to encourage and support the Tamil students from the slums to continue their education. As part of the programme we distribute notebooks, uniforms, geometry box and other educational materials for about 500 students.
This year also we are planning to organize the same programme at cheetacamp Mumbai on dated 28 th july 2013. and we appeal to all of you to come forward to contribute money for the cause.
WE APPEAL TO ALL OF YOU TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS NOBLE CAUSE GENEROUSLY.
