Call for papers-Symposium on Natural Language Processing
for Dravidian Languages, iDravidian2017
We are excited to announce the third edition of iDravidian2017, the Symposium on Natural Language Processing for Dravidian Languages to be held at Anna University, Chennai. The last two editions were co-located as workshops along with ICON2014 and ICON2015 at Goa and Trivandrum respectively. The overwhelming submission of papers from various parts of south India and other places across globe made the organizers to consider iDravidian as a two day conference instead of one day workshop co-located with ICON. Thus from the 3rd edition onwards, iDravidian is delinked from ICON conference and will be organized separately as an independent conference.
iDravidian is dedicated to Dravidian family of languages viz. Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu,Tulu etc. The symposium intends to bring together researchers and developers from academia and industries worldwide working in the broad range of topics relevant to the theory and practice of Computational models, Empirical analysis and Linguistic analysis in the areas of Computational Linguistics, Language Technology and Linguistics to promote ideas, share and discuss their ongoing work that will influence and encourage researchers to work towards real time systems which can be used in many applications that directly benefit the society.

The best papers from this conference will be selected for oral presentation at ICON2017 to be held in December 2017 at Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
We invite submissions of papers on topics that include, but are not limited to, the following:
Basic core technologies:
Morphological analysis, Disambiguation, Tokenization, POS tagging, Named entity detection, Chunking, parsing, Semantic role labeling, Anaphora resolution, Discourse Analysis, Deep Parsing etc.
