We have got a clear verdict
A mandate so magnificent
A government with an absolute majority
They predicted the surge of Modi waves!
Oh! Our country was submerged by a political tsunami!
Except the southern peninsular area
Everywhere we heard the victorious voice of Modi.
Tamilnadu kept its unique attitude
The land of Periyar and Anna never bowed to northern hegemony;
Vox populi vox dei
Even though we don’t subscribe to the ideology of BJP
We respect the verdict of the people
The swearing-in ceremony of Modi government
is a happy occasion to rejoice with.
We witnessed a silent revolution
A bloodless coup was performed by the people!
The power of democracy was shown to the entire world
We are elated and proud about our democracy.
