Noting the expansion of the Special Task Force (STF) camps in the NorthEast on the direction of the Sri Lanka Defense Ministry, and the continued presence of more than 8000 STF personnel in 70 camps, Professor Francis Boyle, an expert in international law and who teaches at the University of Illinois College of Law, turned his ire on the United Nations and its Human Rights Chief, Zeid bin Ra’ad, for their failure to recognize the international crimes of the Sri Lankan state and the on-going systemic genocide, and said that Zeid and his Office are acting like "[l]ittle poodle dogs jumping through hoops to keep the international audience amused while the GOSL Wild Animals devour the Eelam Tamils and Tamil Eelam."

"It should now be crystal clear to
everyone involved in the situation that Zeid and his United Nations
Human Rights Officeare nothing more than the proverbial dog-and-pony
show specifically designed to distract international attention and world
public opinion from the GOSL's ongoing genocide against the Eelam
Tamils.
"When I was a young boy my parents used to take me to see the Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus at the old Amphitheater in Chicago. Between the Main Acts involving the wild animals or the trapeze artists, they would bring in the dog-and-pony show to keep the audience occupied while they were setting up the next Main Act. Little poodle dogs would jump through hoops onto the backs of galloping horses, then jump down again.
"Everyone thought the acrobatic little poodle dogs were so cute jumping through hoops onto large horses and down again.
"Such is the function of Zeid and his Office and the Council-- Little poodle dogs jumping through hoops to keep the international audience amused while the GOSL Wild Animals devour the Eelam Tamils and Tamil Eelam," Boyle said.
