Commonwealth and UN set paradigm of great global deception
[TamilNet, Thursday, 24 March 2016, 00:03 GMT]
In doing his work “below the radar to carry political conviction,” the outgoing Commonwealth Secretary General Kamalesh Sharma claims: “we gave a compendium to the Rajapaksa government of best practices in the Commonwealth”. He was referring to his response to the judicial appointments made by Rajapaksa, and was projecting that to his credibility in dismissing criticisms against him on the role he played in bailing out Rajapaksa who carried out the genocidal conviction of Washington-London-New Delhi bandwagon. The question comes whether the Commonwealth has also given a compendium to Rajapaksa below the radar to carry out the genocide of Eezham Tamils as one of the best practices of the Commonwealth, commented Tamil activists for alternative politics in the island.
At a stage when it became clear that the Vanni war was heading towards genocide, the response of the British representative at the UN Security Council was that Sri Lanka had long been blighted by the LTTE.

Mr. Sharma gives a hint that after
his below the radar work, “He [Rajapaksa] started the practice of
issuing departure statements so that citizens were clear about why he
had come and what he had achieved.”
If that was the power of ‘below the radar work’ of the Commonwealth, especially the Eezham Tamil citizens of the Commonwealth have also to be clear how the genocide had been committed, how it structurally continues and why it is being shielded.
Kamalesh Sharma was giving the interview to Parvathi Menon of The Hindu on Monday (updated on Tuesday).
Mr. Sharma leaves the Commonwealth after driving it for 8 years. So will be the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon in a few months time. Looking at the track record these are good riddance.
The two outgoing Secretary Generals and Mr Vijay Nambiar of the UN are top officials of the international system, who should be called upon to any international criminal procedure to give witness on the modus operandi of the paradigm of genocide deployed and sustained in the case of Eezham Tamils by elements that have hijacked the international system.
The confidence of people like the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mr. Zeid, in continuing the deception in the service of the hijackers of international system, comes by seeing Sharma and Ban leaving without any responsibility to answer to humanity.
