Ko’ndachchi becomes hub of Maithiripala regime’s Sinhala colonization in Mannaar
[TamilNet, Tuesday, 28 June 2016, 23:34 GMT]
The occupying military of genocidal Sri Lanka has transformed 6,000 acres of cashew plantation farm lands in the Musali division of Mannaar district in the country of Eezham Tamils as the hub of Sinhala military colonization targeting Musali. The so-called Sinhala home guards, which is uniformed and paid paramilitary force named Civil Security Force (CSF) and the SL Navy are controlling the entire farm, situated in Mannaar district bordering Anurathapura and Puththa’lam districts. The Cashew Corporation was earlier under the Ministry of Plantation Industries. But, after the change of government last year, the plantation has been brought under SL Ministry of Public Enterprises Development. In reality, the SL Defence Ministry is maintaining the area as a military corporatist establishment and as an entertainment base for Sinhala Navy.
In Mannaar district, Ko’ndachchi-Chilaavaththu’rai, Thalaimannaar Pier and Madu have been particularly targeted for Sinhala-Buddhist colonies by the genocidal government in Colombo.
Although the civil officials under the Cashew Corporation have been formally urging the military Establishment to hand over the plantation, the SL Defence Ministry under the direct ministerial supervision of the SL President, retains its control over the facility.
Informed sources say that the SL President Maithiripala Sirisena wants to deploy the facility again as a scheme for Sinhala colonization of Musali division of Mannaar district. Sinhalese from his constituency situated in the North Central Province are deployed as workers in the farm, a recent visitor to the farm said.
Hundreds of Sinhala ‘home guards’ from Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa are deployed in the cashew plantations since 2012. More than 2000 acres of the farms are being cultivated by the ‘home guards’.
In the meantime, the SL Navy has seized all the buildings and the bungalows.
These buildings were handed over to the SL Navy during the times of former SL Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa as he wanted the facility to be a SL Navy installation.

Bordering Anuradhapura district and
Puththa’lam district, the fertile farm of Ko’ndachchi farm was used as a
scheme for Sinhala colonization of Musali division in Mannaar until
1990.
Sinhala farmers accompanied by ‘home guards’ who were defended by SL Army camps were deployed in the farm until 1990.
The Tigers militarily checkmated the colonization scheme and the area was liberated in 1990. However, the SL military seized the area from Tamils in 2007.
Initially, Sri Lanka Army was controlling the facility. Later, the farm was handed over to the SL Navy according to the instructions from Gotahaya Rajapaksa.
The Sinhala ‘home guards’ paramilitary was brought in during 2012 re-starting the farming, but now under the SL Defence Ministry.
The Sinhala homeguards were also engaged in illegal logging in the jungle area.
The cashew business run by the SL military is exported to outside world through black market outfits in the South.
In the meantime, SL Navy has also put up additional buildings transforming all the buildings as entertainment and resort facilities for Sinhala Navy.
Previously known as ‘Home Guards’, the Civil Security Force (CSF) is primarily Sinhala paramilitary, wearing uniforms after one-month military training.
The CSF is deployed along the interior villages of Eezham Tamils in border areas between Sinhala districts and Tamil districts. The CSF, which is organized under the Civil Security Department (CSD), comes under the purview of SL Ministry of Defence.
While Sinhala paramilitary is maintained as CSF, the CSD has also transformed around 10,000 former LTTE members into a slave paramilitary, not deployed in ‘security’ operations. The former LTTE members known as CSD personnel are not allowed to carry weapons, but deployed as slave workers at the farms run by the genocidal military.
The CSD slaves are also operated as informants and the Tamil women have been subjected to sexual abuse.
The CSD is also running ‘pre-schools’ with uniformed teachers managed on the pay list of the CSD. It has also attempted to put CSD uniforms to the children of enslaved Tamils.
The UN missions and the international human rights watchdogs turn a blind eye to the CSD enslavement, which is being carried out under the tag of ‘development’ and the role of Sinhala CSF Sinhala paramilitary deployed in the demographic genocide that targets the borders of the occupied country of Eezham Tamils.
