Enslaved Tamil fighters forced to sing ‘Sri Lanka’ anthem in Sinhala
[TamilNet, Friday, 05 February 2016, 18:06 GMT]
Forcing Eezham Tamil school girls to parade at a military event on the so-called ‘Independence Day’ and bringing a section of enslaved former LTTE members from the so-called ‘Civil Security Division’ (CSD) to sing ‘Sri Lanka’ anthem in Sinhala, the occupying Sinhala military was engaged in an act of humiliating Eezham Tamils at Poonakari in Ki'linochchi district on Thursday. Just a look at the faces of the enslaved Tamils and occupying Sinhalese would tell the reality. No explanation is needed to those who are familiar with the world history of occupations and genocide. A video recording of the event, which has been recorded and distributed through social media on the Internet, is being reproduced by TamilNet for the purpose of historical record. The video is a must to be seen by all.
The video was taken by a Sinhala journalist. It tells the story better than that are reported and written by the Colombo-centric media personnel of AP, AFP, PTI, Reuters, CNN, BBC, Al-Jazeera, Latin American and African media.
At Poonakari, the enslaved CSD personnel were instructed to attend a ‘harvesting’ ceremony of a military-run farm at Poonakari where they were instructed to sing ‘Sri Lanka’ anthem in Sinhala in front of Sinhala visitors from South, news sources at Poonakari said.

The CSD-slaves were primarily
employed in military-run farms in Vanni and were transported to and from
the occupied ‘High Security Zones’ for employment in farms run by the
SL military in Vanni and in Jaffna. They have also been forced to work
as informant operatives. A section of them have also been subjected to
sexual exploitation by the occupying SL military.
The UN Human Rights Council last year came out with the humiliating report, which refused international investigations on Tamil genocide and recommended ‘hybrid’ investigations.
But the US-‘Sri Lanka’ consensus resolution watered down it further into domestic investigation and handed over the fate of investigations to the gencodial State of Sri Lanka.
The Colombo regime, emboldened by this impunity and appeasement process of world Establishment, especially the USA, has embarked upon a series of hoodwink stunts. The latest one was demonstrated on Thursday – a show to the outside world by the propaganda of ‘lifting an unofficial ban’ on singing ‘Sri Lanka’ anthem in Tamil in Colombo and acting in contrary at Poonakari in the occupied country of Eezham Tamils.
Eezham Tamils in the North and East completely ignored the call by Colombo to celebrate the so-called Independence Day of ‘Sri Lanka’. The families of missing persons and uprooted people who have been refused resettlement staged protests in all the 8 districts hoisting black flags.
More than 30,000 Sinhala soldiers from two brigades (20,000 soldiers) and 11 divisions (11,000 soldiers) of the genocidal Sinhala military are now stationed in Poonakari and the villages around it, sealing off and choking Jaffna Peninsula, besides checking the Tamil Nadu coast and the Palk Bay.

In 2011, the British government was in the forefront in leaving the 'reintegration' of the 'rehabilitated' former Tamil combatants in the hands of the genocidal military.
For this purpose, the Establishment in London provided 90 million rupees, coming from the UK's 'Conflict Pool'. The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) of questionable credibility was also involved in the process.
In this connection, accompanied by genocidal Sri Lanka's military, the then British Deputy High Commissioner in Colombo, Mark Gooding, visited a military-run camp for ex-LTTE combatants.
The net results of the US-UK master plan for enslaving Tamil freedom fighters through the genocidal Sinhala military could now be explicitly seen in the so-called independence day programme. The regime change was a camouflage. But nothing changed in the original agenda. The faces of the enslaved Tamils seen in the video are for the conscience of the so-called Tamil activists in the West, still looking upon the Establishments in the USA and UK, commented Tamil political observers in the diaspora.
