US, UN bureaucracy behind Zeid's soft stand on Sri Lanka: Prof Boyle

[TamilNet, Wednesday, 10 February 2016, 01:37 GMT]
Responding to Tamil activists accusation that "they witnessed a total lack of understanding on the part of UN Rights Chief Zeid Raad al-Hussein on the deep-rooted structural crimes taking place against Tamils in the East under the Mahaweli Minister and SL President Maithiripala Sirisena," Professor Boyle, an expert in international law, and who teaches at the University of Illinois College of Law, said, "Zeid is not an idiot. He knows full well that the GOSL has inflicted genocide on the Eelam Tamils that continues as of today. Zeid was sent there by the United States Government and the United Nations Bureaucracy to do damage control and damage limitation on behalf of the Genocidal GOSL Regime against the Eelam Tamils. He who pays the piper calls the tune."

Prof. Boyle, in a comment sent to TamilNet said:

"So Zeid knows and admits that the White Van Abductions against the Eelam Tamils continue—A Crime against Humanity.

"Zeid knows and admits that torture continues against the Eelam Tamils, which is an international crime, and when it is widespread and systematic becomes a Crime Against Humanity, which is the case here.

"And Zeid knows and admits that the GOSL “police” wantonly inflict violence and excessive force upon the Eelam Tamils, yet another Crime against Humanity.

"Zeid knows and admits that the GOSL continues to Rape Eelam Tamil Women, which is an international crime and in this case since it is widespread and systematic constitutes a Crime against Humanity. Etc.,etc., etc. throughout the rest of Zeid’s Statement.

"When you add up all these atrocities that Zeid admits are still going on today, Zeid knows full well that the GOSL Genocide against the Eelam Tamils still continues as of today.

"Zeid is no idiot. He was sent there by the United States government and the United Nations Organization to do the dirty work of damage control and damage limitation on behalf of the Genocidal GOSL Regime against the Eelam Tamils.

"He who pays the piper calls the tune," Boyle said.

"Towards the end of his Statement Zeid blames “both sides”. That is the functional equivalent of the United Nations blaming the Jews for the Genocide and Holocaust that Hitler and the Nazis inflicted upon the Jews. Never again?

"No, according to Zeid and the United Nations Organization: Genocide Pays! Always again!

"Zeid and the United Nations are Accessories After the Fact to the GOSL Genocide against the Eelam Tamils, and Aiders And Abettors to the ongoing GOSL Genocide against the Eelam Tamils," Boyle said on Zeid's concluding statement on Sri Lanka visit.

Noting Sri Lanka analyst with the International Crisis Group (ICG) Alan Keenan's comment to IRIN website,
“There is a sense that the sheen is off the government, the sense that people are beginning to lose some trust in this process....Acting on some of the other recommendations in the report could be a way for Sirisena to burnish his fading reputation....the overarching goal of implementing such measures is to help “rebuild the integrity of the justice system,”
Professor Boyle said, "[n]otice that the so-called International Crisis Group is doing damage control and damage limitation for the Genocidal GOSL Regime against the Eelam Tamils.

"The Europeans are going to sell out the Eelam Tamils to the Genocidal GOSL Regime by restoring Sri Lanka access to their Generalized System of Preferences for hard cash soaked in the Blood of Tamils.

"And the Americans are going to do the same by giving the Genocidal GOSL Regime access to their Millennium Challenge Corporation.

"Tamil lives are worth nothing to the Europeans, the Americans and the United Nations," said Boyle expressing his ire with the Western powers.
