"Some forces are trying to make the Eelam liberation struggle lose its power and potency particularly through setting aside the Tamil Eelam national leader, the Tamil Eelam national flag and the sovereignty of Tamil Eelam," he observed. The VCK President urged the Tamil diaspora to never let go of their national leader or national flag until the singular and shared aim of an independent Tamil Eelam was attained.

Thirumavalavan also said that the Tamil diaspora must devise appropriate strategies to attaining Eelam bearing in mind the international scenario.

English translation of the statement by Thirumavalavan, M.P.

The Tamil Eelam freedom struggle under the leadership of Tamil Eelam National Leader V Pirapaharan is now facing a crisis situation where it has to overcome several historical challenges. At this juncture, the Tamil people all over the world have to bear the responsibility and the duty of taking this liberation struggle forward in a powerful manner. The Eelam Tamil Diaspora, in particular, must shoulder the responsibility of fulfilling this historical duty.

In such a situation, it is the moral obligation of the real revolutionary forces to identify the anti-struggle forces and defeat their acts of conspiracy. In this manner, we are able to realize that enemies and anti-struggle forces who support the enemies have started to emerge, and we believe that this could blunt the Eelam liberation struggle. We observe that some forces are trying to make the Eelam liberation struggle lose its power and potency particularly through setting aside the Tamil Eelam national leader, the Tamil Eelam national flag and Tamil Eelam national sovereignty.

It becomes obvious that such anti-struggle forces are supportive of the Sinhala chauvinistic agenda that is eager to put out the brilliant light of liberation that was lit by leader Pirapaharan through his successful 25-year freedom struggle which the international community looked at with wonder and amazement. Therefore, just as we have identified the enemies, we should also identify the anti-struggle forces who are trying to infiltrate amongst us.

Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (Liberation Panthers Party) seeks to point out that till independence is achieved by Tamil Eelam, which is the singular aim of the Tamil people, the international Tamil community must never let go of their guiding forces, National Leader Pirapaharan and the Tamil Eelam National Flag. We also request Tamil people all over the world to get ready to devise strategies in tune with the prevailing international scenario to wage Eelam Liberation War V.
