லண்டன், மே.18: பிரிட்டனில் சீன ஹோட்டல்களில் சாப்பிடுபவர்கள், சாப்பிட்ட பின்னர் உணவுகளை மீதம் வைத்துச் சென்றால் அவர்களுக்கு அபராதம் விதிக்கப்படுகிறது. பிரிட்டனில் சவுத் ஷீல்ட்ஸ் பகுதியில் சீன ஹோட்டல் ஒன்று உள்ளது. இந்த ஹோட்டலில் சாப்பிடுபவர்கள் சாப்பிட்ட தட்டில் உணவு பொருட்களை மீதம் வைத்தால் அவர்களுக்கு 20 பவுண்டு வரை அபராதம் வசூலிக்கப்படுகிறது.முன்னதாக இந்த ஹோட்டல் சர்வர்கள் சாப்பிட வருபவர்களிடம் இது குறித்து தகவல் தெரிவித்து விடுகின்றனர். சாப்பாட்டை மீதம் வைத்தால் அபராதம் வசூலிக்கப்படும் என்று அறிவிப்பும் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதை மீறி சாப்பிட்ட தட்டில் உணவை வீணாக்குபவர்களுக்கு உணவு கட்டணத்துடன் அபராதமும் சேர்த்து வசூலிக்கப்படுகிறது. சாப்பாடு பிடிக்காமல் மீதம் வைத்த பலரிடம் அபராதம் வசூலிக்கப்பட்டதால், அவர்கள் இந்த ஹோட்டல் நிர்வாகத்தை திட்டி விட்டு செல்கின்றனர்.

புதுச்சேரி, மார்ச் 23: தொழிலில் சாதனை படைக்க வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக புதுச்சேரி மொழியியல் பண்பாட்டு ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனத்தில் சீனாவைச் சேர்ந்த மாணவி ஜெயா (எ) லீலூஸ் (படம்) தமிழ் கற்று வருகிறார். சீனாவில் பெய்ஜிங் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்தவர் லீலூஸ். இவர் சீனாவில் உள்ள கம்யூனிகேஷன் யுனிவர்சிட்டி ஆப் சீனா என்ற பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் ஆர்வமுடன் தமிழ் பயின்றார். இதைத் தொடர்ந்து அவருக்கு சீனாவில் உள்ள தமிழ் வானொலியில் வேலை கிடைத்தது. சீன மொழியில் இருக்கும் செய்திகளை இவர் தமிழில் மாற்றித் தர வேண்டும் என்பதே இவரது பணி. இப் பணியை இவர் தொடர்ந்து சிறப்பாக செய்து வருகிறார். லீலூஸ் என்ற சீனப் பெயரையும் இவர் தமிழர்களின் பெயருக்கு தகுந்தாற்போல் ஜெயா என்று மாற்றிக் கொண்டார்.எழுத்து வடிவில் இருக்கும் தூய தமிழைப் போல் இவர் பேசுகிறார். இந் நிலையில் தமிழர்கள் பேச்சு வழக்கில் மொழியை எவ்வாறு கையாள்கிறார்கள் என்று அறிவதில் இவருக்கு ஆர்வம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது. இதைத் தொடர்ந்து புதுச்சேரி வந்த இவர், புதுச்சேரி மொழியியல் பண்பாட்டு ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனத்தில் கடந்த 5 மாதமாக பேச்சு வழக்கில் உள்ள தமிழை பயின்று வருகிறார். இவருக்கு பேராசிரியர்கள் ரவிசங்கர், பரசுராம் ஆகியோர் தமிழ் கற்றுக் கொடுக்கின்றனர்.இது குறித்து ஜெயா (எ) லீலூஸிடம் கேட்டபோது, நான் தமிழ் வானொலியில் பணி செய்வதால் தமிழ் மீது ஆர்வம் ஏற்பட்டது. சீனாவில் உள்ள பல்கலைக்கழகம் ஒன்றில் தமிழ் பயின்றேன். அங்கு பேச்சு வடிவில் மக்கள் எவ்வாறு தமிழை பேசுகிறார்கள் என்பதை பயில்வதற்கான வசதி இல்லை. பேச்சு வடிவிலான தமிழ் தெரிந்தால் எனது தொழிலில் சாதிப்பதற்கு உறுதுணையாக இருக்கும் என்று கருதினேன். இதனால் இங்கு தமிழ் பயின்று வருகிறேன் என்றார்.இவரது கணவர் வாங்க் ஹுயும் உறுதுணையாக இவருடன் புதுச்சேரி வந்து தங்கியுள்ளார். தமிழ் கற்று சாதிக்க நினைக்கும் சீன மாணவியின் செயல்பாடு தமிழ் உணர்வாளர்கள் மத்தியில் மகிழ்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியது.

Chinese-helped new SL Naval base comes up in Vanni, targeting Palk Bay

Sri Lanka occupying the country of Eezham Tamils opened a new naval base in the western coast of Vanni at Naachchik-kudaa facing the Palk Bay in a commanding position to target movements from the Tamil Nadu coast of India. Construction of the new naval base received Chinese help. SL navy commander Somathilake Tissanayake inaugurated the base on Monday. Meanwhile, journalists who have gone for the annual church fete at the uninhabited islet Kachcha-theevu in the Palk Bay has noticed a permanently built SL naval base there. The construction material of this base and a newly coming up jetty there were found with Chinese markings. Two SL naval ships are always stationed near Kachcha-theevu. The attacks on Tamil Nadu fishermen deploying Sinhala gangs from the south are operated by SLN in Kachcha-theevu.

This week, petrol bombs thrown by a gang coming in a boat destroyed a Tamil Nadu fishing boat near Kachcha-theevu.

The new naval base, located in a cove at the fishing port Naachchik-kudaa in the Kariyaalai-Naakappaduvan division of the Ki’linochchi district, has been given with a Sinhala name Bhuvaneka.

From the location the base could monitor the fishing villages from Mannaar to the Devil’s Point coast in the Vanni, as well as movements from Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu and the Ira’nai-theevu and Kachcha-theevu islets.

SL defence secretary and presidential sibling Gotabhaya Rajapaksa put the naval division in this part of Vanni to operation in August last year. The new naval division will function under Sri Lanka’s North Central Command.

Apart from the KKS naval base, already there are three more major SL naval bases in the north at Kaarainakar, Veala’nai and Ma’ndai-theevu to conduct surveillance of movements in the Palk Bay from Tamil Nadu. Besides, there are many small naval detachments all along the coasts of the north.

Right from 1960s Colombo was systematically following a naval policy of choking the coasts of the north in the pretext of checking smuggling. A former Sinhala Government Agent of Jaffna has put it on record that this naval policy in the 1960s itself was actually in anticipation of checking Tamils in the island, because the Colombo government was very much conscious that its policies on Tamils would eventually bring in trouble.

Now the mushrooming naval bases directly target Tamil Nadu, strategic analysts said.

Ariyaalai East and the opposite sandbar Ma'n'niththalai, 14. Naavatkuzhi, 15. Ma'ndaitheevu,16. Jaffna city, 17. Kachcha-theevu and 18. Naachchik-kudaa. Media opinion urges Philippines to follow genocidal Sri Lanka

Philippines should follow Sri Lanka’s model in getting Chinese assistance and annihilate the Moro National Liberation Front (MILF) fighting for the nation of Muslims in Philippines, urges an Outlook column appeared in Philippine Daily Inquirer, Thursday. A similar outlook in Burma’s military government against the Karen nationalists has been pointed out in many media reports after the genocidal war against the nation of Eezham Tamils in the island of Sri Lanka. The US and India, by setting the stage, by finishing a national war to genocidal end and by continue sitting on political and criminal justice, have inspired a host of rogue States to follow the genocidal path, but ironically the ill-gotten gains of the ‘inspiration’ goes to China, commented a political science academic in the Tamil diaspora.

Saying “If you want peace, prepare for war” the Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist Rigoberto Tiglao points out, “What isn’t widely known though is that the Sri Lankan army won against the Tamils with China’s massive assistance, amounting to $1 billion in military and financial aid annually from 2005 to 2009, allowing it to increase its military budget by 40 percent and its army’s size by 70 percent.” “Too bad that President Aquino hasn’t exactly warmed up to China for us to request military aid from that emerging superpower, what with his saber-rattling over the Spratleys issue and his government’s bungling that resulted in the deaths of eight Chinese tourists,” the columnist argues in favour of even sacrificing the national interests of Philippines in the South China Sea in exchange for the genocidal passion of annihilating the nation of his siblings.

Exactly the model followed and is being followed by Mahinda Rajapaksa by not conceding sovereignty of the nation of Eezham Tamils but losing it to every X, Y and Z.

The Inquirer Opinion columnist admires Rajapaksa for ‘wiping out’ the Tamil Tigers in an ‘all-out war’ “despite the international hue and cry against the government’s offensive by peace advocates and human rights organizations.”

The columnist is wrong. There was no hue and cry until the war was over. It was genocide without witness. The West and India looked after the media and the organizations. Philippines may need them too and may need the skill to later blackmail them by showing the China card, if it wants to follow the Rajapaksa Path.

After the war, the commander of the occupying SL military in Jaffna, Maj. Gen. Mahinda Hathurusinghe, who was presiding over the structural genocide of Eezham Tamils, was awarded Guci Peace Prize in Philippines. The SL Army paraded the ‘award’ as Asian Nobel Peace Prize.

Burma was the first country Mahinda Rajapaksa chose to visit with a large entourage, immediately after the war.

Over the course of centuries the West has learnt to largely sort out its national questions and has grown up. To lead the human civilization it should develop a paradigm to help the other parts of the world to deliver justice to national questions wherever the question is chronic. By facilitating genocide and annihilation of nations no imperialism will be ultimately successful. Sri Lanka and independence of Eezham Tamils is a paradigm setting case in proving credibility for world leadership, the diaspora academic commented.

இந்திய கடல் எல்லையில் நுழைந்த 17 சிங்கள மீனவர்கள் கைது

மசூலிப்பட்டினம், மார்ச் 11: இந்திய கடல் பகுதிக்குள் அத்துமீறி நுழைந்த 17 சிங்கள மீனவர்கள் வியாழக்கிழமை கைது செய்யப்பட்டனர். ஆந்திர மாநிலம் மசூலிப்பட்டினம் கடற்கரை பகுதியில் 3 படகுகளில் வந்த இவர்களை அங்கு ரோந்துப் பணியில் ஈடுபட்டிருந்த கடலோர பாதுகாப்புப் படையினர் கைது செய்தனர். வழி தவறி இந்தியப் பகுதிக்குள் வந்து விட்டதாக அவர்கள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். தொடர்ந்து விசாரணை நடைபெற்று வருகிறது என்று ஆந்திர மாநில போலீஸ் அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.

கருத்துக்கள்

இவர்கள் அரச விருந்தினராக நடத்தப்பட்டுச்சிங்கள அரசிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்படுவர். சிங்கள அரசு போல் பழிக்குப் பழியாக இவர்களைக் கொல்லத் தேவையில்லை. ஆனால், தமிழக மீனவர்கள் மீதான தாக்குதலை நிறுத்தாவிட்டால் இவர்கள் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட மாட்டார்கள் என அறிவிக்கலாம் அல்லவா? என்று எண்ணத் தோன்றுகிறது. ஆனால், இந்திய அரசே தமிழக மீனவர்களின் படுகொலைகளுக்குக் காரணமாக இருக்கும் பொழுது எவ்வாறு இவ்வாறு அறிவிக்க இயலும் என்னும் உண்மை நினைவிற்கு வருகிறது. இனிச் சிங்கள மீனவர்களுடன் சீனர்களும் வரும் எண்ணிக்கை உயர்நத பின்னராவது இந்தியத்திற்கு அறிவு வருமா எனத் தெரியவில்லை.
