UN failing Eezham Tamils recognises rape, genocide by IS

The United Nations has said that Islamic State may have committed genocide in trying to wipe out the Yazdi minority and has urged the UN Security Council to refer the issue to the International Criminal Court for prosecution, reported Reuters on Thursday, after the UNSC listening to a Yazdi rape victim at its meeting on Wednesday. In 2009, the UNSC deliberations took a line that the Tamil struggle was long blighting the SL State, and thus allowed Colombo’s rape and genocide of Eezham Tamils and further institutionalisation of structural genocide in the island. Meanwhile, any attempt by Tamil polity to tell the truth is intimidated by certain media writers that such a polity is earning the wrath of the USA and India.

Visibly emotional after listening to the Yazdi victim, the members of the UN Security Council applauded her courage, the Reuter report said.

The ‘International Community’ being selective in recognising issues was told as a veiled warning to Eezham Tamils some years ago by the International Crisis Group.

While the US-led UNHRC move doesn’t recognize genocide or even the word Tamil in the island, rape by ‘Sri Lanka’ military never existed at all for the so-called international community initiatives against the use of rape in war.

Meanwhile, democratic Eezham Tamil polity in the island demanding genocide investigation and expressing concern about nothing changed in the fundamentals of the genocidal agenda, are viewed as causing displeasure to the USA and India.

Colombo-based reporter P.K. Balachandran of the Indian corporate media, The New Indian Express, said on Sunday: “Super Power United States as well as Regional Power India are none too happy with the political conduct of C.V. Wigneswaran [NPC Chief Minister].”

Balachandran added his own opinion that “Wigneswaran is unlikely to give up his radical posture because he has been led to believe that he can take on the TNA with the help of the ‘people’ and the support of the pro-LTTE Tamil diaspora.”

Balachandran went on saying: “He [Wigneswaran] is said to be under the influence of forces which believe that the Lankan Tamils can do without India and perhaps even the US.”

According to Balachandran, Wigneswaran has been told by articulating Powers to cooperate with Sampanthan, Sumanthiran and Maavai in engaging the Lankan government.

The difference between fundamentals of a chronic national question of genocidal dimensions and the “pro-LTTE” rhetoric, is deliberately missed by those who are now giving military training to minorities in West Asia and the media writers.

Certain dubious agenda writers in the diaspora in the West were also sharing the Indian media writer’s orchestrations, which were in fact veiled media threats against any shade of Tamil polity democratically rising to address the realities.

Tamils had no deep reasons to go against the USA, India, or for that matter against any of the powers of the world, including China and Russia.

But, Tamils all over the world, from Guyana to Fiji, need an answer; whether because of the past guilt in upholding a genocidal State and because of the resultant paranoia (as the agenda is going to be continued), the USA, India and others consider global Tamils as adversaries.

How long political and media orchestrations, besides an occupying State and military, are going to be deployed against any voice of Tamils that seeks justice on a par with the other peoples of the world, asked Tamil activists for alternative politics in the island.
