கொழும்பு, ஜூன் 13: ஈழத் தமிழர் விவகாரத்தில் இலங்கைக்கு இந்தியா எவ்வித நெருக்குதலையும் தரவில்லை என்று அந்நாட்டு வெளியுறவு அமைச்சர் ஜி.எல். பெரிஸ் (படம்) தெரிவித்துள்ளார். ÷இலங்கை தனக்கென்று சுதந்திரமான கொள்கையை கடைபிடிக்கிறது. வேறு எந்த நாடு அதற்கு நெருக்குதலைத் தர முடியாது என்றும் அவர் கூறியுள்ளார். ÷இலங்கை அதிபர் மகிந்தா ராஜபட்ச சமீபத்தில் இந்தியாவுக்கு பயணம் மேற்கொண்டார். அப்போது ஈழத் தமிழர் மறுவாழ்வு விவகாரம் அதிக முக்கியத்துவம் பெற்றது. இது தொடர்பாக தமிழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த எம்.பி.க்களும் ராஜபட்சவை சந்தித்து விரைந்து நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வலியுறுத்தினர். ÷இந்நிலையில் ராஜபட்சவின் இந்தியப் பயணம் குறித்து அமைச்சர் ஜி.எல். பெரிஸ் கொழும்பில் ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை கூறியது: ÷இந்தியாவுக்கும் இலங்கைக்கும் இடையிலான உறவு மிகவும் வலுவாக உள்ளது. ஈழத் தமிழர்கள் பிரச்னைக்கு விரைவில் அரசியல் தீர்வு காண்பது உள்பட எந்த விஷயத்திலும் இந்தியா நெருக்குதல் தரவில்லை. ராஜபட்சவின் 4 நாள் இந்தியப் பயணம் வெற்றிகரமாகவும், இருநாட்டு உறவை மேலும் வலுப்படுத்துவதாகவும் அமைந்தது என்றார். ÷தமிழக எம்.பி.க்கள், ராஜபட்சவிடம் பேசியது குறித்த கேள்விக்கு, ""ஈழத்தமிழர்கள் பிரச்னையில் அரசியல் மற்றும் பொருளாதார ரீதியில் தீர்வு காணும் அரசியல் சாசன சட்டத் திருத்தம் குறித்து அப்போது பேசப்பட்டது'' என்றார். இலங்கையில் ரயில்வே பணிகள், அனல் மின்நிலையம் அமைப்பது உள்பட பல்வேறு மறுநிர்மாணப் பணிகளுக்காக ரூ.4,700 கோடி வரை கடன் தர இந்தியா சம்மதித்துள்ளது. விமானநிலையம், துறைமுக கட்டுமானப் பணிகளில் உதவவும் இந்தியா முன்வந்துள்ளது என்று பெரிஸ் மேலும் கூறினார்.
