Occupying Sri Lanka Army assaults Saiva priest in Jaffna

The Tamil priest of Aathi Paraasakthi temple in Valveddith-thu'rai was brutally assaulted by the occupying Sri Lanka military on Monday, a few minutes after the priest politely reminded a Sinhala soldier, who went inside the temple wearing boots, that the act was considered as showing disrespect to the deity and as desecrating the shrine. The priest, brutally attacked by the military, was rushed to Valveddith-thu'rai hospital by the devotees of the temple at E'l'lang-ku'lam. Tension prevailed in the area following the offending act of the SL military, residents of the village said.

A SLA soldier, who was playing with his fellow troopers in the military-appropriated land of the temple, ran inside the temple after a ball.

The Tamil priest, who was conducting prayers inside the temple noticed the act of the soldier entering the temple wearing shoes and politely warned him on the hostile act.

Following this, the soldier went out and came with a team of soldiers, headed by their commander, and beat the priest causing several injuries to him.

The wounded priest was taken to the hospital by the devotees after the SL soldiers left the site.

The SLA had appropriated the land belonging to the temple and transformed it into a play ground for them.

The SLA had earlier destroyed the Tamil Heroes Cemetery for Vadamaraadchi region, which was situated near the temple.

Hindu Council objects Buddhist Vihara replacing Saiva temple in Kokku'laay

The construction of a Buddhist Vihara in the site after the destruction of several decade old Pi'l'laiyaar temple at Kokku'laay in Mullaith-theevu district cannot be allowed, said C.Yogeswaran, Batticaloa district Tamil National Alliance (TNA) parliamentarian in a memorandum to Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister D.M.Jayatrena who also hold the post of Ministry of Buddha Sasana. Mr Yogeswaran has sent the memorandum in the capacity of vice president of All Ceylon Hindu Council.

Yogeswaran has pointed out to the SL Prime Minister that Buddhist Viharas are being constructed in Tamil areas where not a Sinhalese lived earlier.

“I have brought these injustices done to Saivites for your consideration several times. But you have failed to address the issues. Please take immediate steps to stop constructing Buddhist Viharas after destroying the Hindu temples,” said Mr Yogeswaran in his memorandum to the SL Prime Minister.

Viharas are being constructed surrounding the spots where Buddha statues had been planted by the Sri Lanka Army, especially in the vicinity of their camps, in the North and Eastern provinces.

“Such mischievous attempts would lead to animosity between the peoples,” the MP told SL Prime Minister in his letter.

Tamil Saivites and Christians were the natives of Kokku'laay. There was no historical evidence to show that Sinhala Buddhists were living there.

Under the current circumstance, many Hindu temples are being destroyed and Buddhist Viharas are being erupted under the guidance of Buddhist prelates in the North and Eastern provinces. This wanton destruction of Saiva koayils, going on for the last 3 years, could not be allowed any more, the MP further said.

சிதம் பரம், பிப். 6: சைவ சமயம் உலகளவில் பரவியதற்கு முக்கிய காரணமாக உள்ளவர்கள் இலங்கைத் தமிழர்களே என பழனி சாது சண்முக அடிகளார் தெரிவித்தார்.சிதம்பரம் அண்ணாமலைப் பல்கலைக்கழக சாஸ்திரி ஹாலில் 12-வது உலக சைவப் பேரவை மாநாடு வெள்ளிக்கிழமை தொடங்கியது. மாநாட்டு தொடக்க நிகழ்ச்சியாக குன்றக்குடி தெய்வசிகாமணி பொன்னம்பல தேசிக பரமாச்சாரிய சுவாமிகள் மாநாட்டு கொடியினை ஏற்றினார். நகர்மன்றத் தலைவி ஹெச்.பௌஜியாபேகம் தேசியக் கொடியை ஏற்றினார். திருமுறை பண்ணிசை அமுது நிகழ்ச்சியுடன் மாநாடு தொடங்கியது.பழனி சாது சண்முக அடிகளார் வரவேற்று பேசியது: இலங்கையில் தமிழர்கள் துணிமணிகள் உள்ளிட்ட வாழ்வாதாரங்களை இழந்தனர். ஆனால் அவர்களிடமிருந்து தமிழ் மற்றும் சமயத்தைப் பிரிக்க முடியவில்லை. அந்தளவுக்கு அவர்கள் வாழ்க்கை முறையில் தமிழ் மற்றும் சமயத்தை கடைபிடித்து வாழ்ந்து வந்தனர் என தெரிவித்தார்.லண்டன் மெய்கண்டார் ஆதீனம் மற்றும் உலக சைவப் பேரவைத் தலைவர் யோகானந்த அடிகள் பேசியது: தமிழர்கள் மேலை நாடுகளில் கல்வி, வணிகம்,வேலை மற்றும் தூதுவர்களாக சென்றார்கள். அங்கு தான் கற்றுக் கொண்ட கல்வி, கலாசாரம், மதத்தையும் பின்பற்றி வந்தனர். முதல் முதலாக சைவ சித்தாந்த அமைப்பு இங்கிலாந்தில் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.பின்னர் லண்டனில் சிவநந்தி அடிகளாரால் உலக சைவப் பேரவை தொடங்கப்பட்டது. கொழும்பு, தென்ஆப்பிரிகா, மொரிஷியஸ், மலேசியா, இந்தியா (தஞ்சாவூர்), ஆஸ்திரேலியா, சுவிட்சர்லாந்து உள்ளிட்ட நாடுகளில் உலக சைவப் பேரவை மாநாடுகள் நடத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.÷இந்தியாவிலிருந்து 24 வயது இளைஞர் ஒருவர் தென்ஆப்பிரிகாவுக்கும், 30 வயது இளைஞர் ஒருவர் அமெரிக்காவுக்கும் சென்றனர்.அங்கிருந்த திரும்பி வரும்போது ஒருவர் மகாத்மா காந்தியாகவும், மற்றொருவர் விவேகானந்தராக திரும்பி வந்தனர். அதுபோன்று இலங்கையிலிருந்து 2 பேர் இங்கிலாந்து மற்றும் பிரான்சுக்கு சென்றனர். அவர்களில் ஒருவர்தான் சிவநந்தி அடிகளார், மற்றொருவர் யோகானந்த அடிகள் என்றார்.தருமபுரம் ஆதீனம் சண்முக தேசிக ஞானசம்பந்த பரமாச்சாரிய சுவாமிகள் தலைமை வகித்துப் பேசியது: எல்லோரும் ஒருங்கிணைந்து ஒரே குரலாக ஒலித்தால்தான் சமயத்தை வளர்க்க முடியும். வெறும் கூட்டத்தை கூட்டினால் மட்டும் வளர்க்க முடியாது. அறிஞர்கள் சொல்வதை மற்றவர்கள் பின்பற்ற வேண்டும். சைவத் தூணாக இருந்த ஆறுமுக நாவலரின் வழியை நாம் பின்பற்ற வேண்டும். கிறிஸ்தவர்களின் சூழ்ச்சியில் சிக்கி பணியாற்றிய அவர் அதன் பின்னர் அதை உதறி விட்டு இந்தியா வந்து சைவ சமயத்தை வளர்த்தார்.வே தம், ஆகமம், புராணம் இவை மூன்றும் முக்கியம். பேசுபவர்கள் ஒரு வட்டம், அரங்கம் அமைத்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். சமயத்துக்கு அளவுகோல் கிடையாது. சமயம் என்பது பக்குவப்பட்ட சமையல் போன்றது. தற்போது கல்வித் துறையில் வரலாறு, பூலோகம் யாரும் படிப்பதில்லை. மருத்துவம், பொறியியல், கணினி ஆகியவற்றைதான் படிக்கின்றனர். படித்துவிட்டு வேலைக்கு போய் கண் பார்வை பறிபோய் விடுகிறது. இடுப்பு வலி வந்து விடுகிறது. பணம் சம்பாதிப்பதை முக்கியமாக வைத்து படிப்பதால் இத்தகைய இன்னல்களில் அடைகின்றனர். சமயத்தை பற்றி எத்தனை ஆண்டுகள் படித்துள்ளீர்கள். எனவே சமயத்தை பற்றி நன்றாக படிக்க வேண்டும் என சண்முக தேசிக ஞானசம்பந்தர் தெரிவித்தார்.திருவண்ணாமலை துறையூர் ஆதீனம் கல்யாணசுந்தர சிவப்பிரகாச பரமாச்சாரிய சுவாமிகள் தொடக்கவுரையாற்றினார். நிகழ்ச்சியை டாக்டர் பத்மினி கபாலிமூர்த்தி தொகுத்து வழங்கினார். மாநாட்டில் மதுரை ஆதீனம் அருணகிரி ஞானசம்பந்தர், இலங்கை யாழ்ப்பானம் நல்லையாதீனம் சோமசுந்தர தேசிக ஞானசம்பந்தர், குன்றக்குடி பொன்னம்பல தேசிக பரமாச்சாரியார், திருப்பனந்தாள் ஆதீனம் முத்துக்குமாரசாமி தம்பிரான், பேரூர் ஆதீனம் சாந்தலிங்க ராமசாமி அடிகளார், மருதாசல அடிகளார், ஊரன் அடிகளார், அண்ணாமலைப் பல்கலைக்கழக பதிவாளர் எம்.ரத்தினசபாபதி உள்ளிட்டோர் பங்கேற்றனர்.

உண்மைதான். ஆனால் சைவச் சமயப் பரப்புநர்களான ஈழத் தமிழர்கள் கூட்டம்கூட்டமாக் கொத்துக் குண்டுகளாலும் எரி குண்டுகளாலும் பிற அறமற்ற முறைகளாலும் அழிக்கப்பட்ட பொழுதும் எஞ்சியோர் இப்பொழுதும் பேரழிவைச் சந்தித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் பொழுதும் மடச் சாமியார்கள் உறங்குவது ஏன்? வேறு சமயத்தவர்க்கு இன்னல் என்றால் அச் சமயத்தலைவர்கள் வாளாவிருப்பார்களா? உண்மையான சைவ நெறி என்பது மக்களை நேசித்துக் காப்பதே! எனவே, சைவ சமயத்தைக் காப்பாற்ற தமிழ் ஈழததைக் காப்பாற்ற முன் வாருங்கள். வளர்க சைவ நெறி! வெல்க தமிழ் ஈழம்! அன்புடன் இலக்குவனார் திருவள்ளுவன்
